How to read the comparison

Window-unit cost and installed cost answer different questions.

Product versus installed: the window unit is the frame-and-tier product allowance. The installed result adds Glazier and Carpenter labor, removal, disposal and hauling, flashing and sealing, insulation, trim, access, cleanup, and the model's permit treatment. A product-only number is not a replacement budget.

Insert versus full-frame: insert replacement keeps a sound existing frame and surrounding finishes. Full-frame replacement removes the complete frame and can activate flashing, opening preparation, insulation, trim, and higher labor. A quote should name the method explicitly instead of using "replacement" as if it were one scope.

Material is not the only driver: count, exact width and height, style, glass, product tier, story height, opening condition, trim, access, and local requirements can outweigh the frame label. The model uses a size band until measured dimensions are entered; it does not turn a planning band into an ordering dimension.

Measurement and performance

Exact openings come before performance comparisons.
